Week 370: FATHER

June honors fathers with their own special day.  Let's fill the gallery with masculine cards this month.  We can all use some fresh ideas!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

STAMPlorations is returning as our wonderful sponsor and is offering this challenge's winner $25 off their next online order!  Be sure and check out their current Birthday Sale!  It's going on all month, so be sure and grab your favorite products by June 30th!

Let's see what the design team & our guest designer created for inspiration to get us started!

Guest Designer:  Stephanie
design defined:
An intentional pop of color adds interest to a CAS design.

design defined:
All neutrals are a great "guy" color combo!

design defined:
Leaving a large image uncolored keeps the design clean & simple.

Jen
design defined:
Odd numbers help a design feel more balanced.

Joyce
design defined:
Stamping on 1/3 of the card is classic CAS design.

Karen
design defined:
Using a monochromatic color scheme allows you to layer images, creating depth without bulk.

design defined:
Geometric border helps draw your eye to the centre of the card

Sandie
design defined:
Use one border for images. Adding a strip of card/washi to the other border balances this out but still lots of white space!

Sue
design defined:
Grouping your images in a tight cluster helps to keep card CAS.

Go have fun creating your CAS design and don't forget to link up here on the CASology blog by Monday, July 6, at 9:00 a.m. (CDT)!  **PLEASE NOTE:  We are changing to one month challenges for the summer months!  We'll return to our usual two-week challenges this fall.
