Kate's
brightly colored stripes in the die cut word 'happy' were perfectly
balanced by an abundance of white space. The 'birthday' part of the
sentiment looked great tucked into the base of her die cut word, and the
vellum butterfly was just the right extra touch.

Here are the Honorable Mentions chosen by the rest of the design team:
Judy's Choice:Kate's
sweet birds and partially embossed chicken wire are perfectly
accentuated by the striped paper on the edge of the card. Such
beautiful color combinations, too!
Meghan's Choice: Jenni's "jem" was a stunner! The pierced heart
outline and her perfectly paper pieced hearts made a lovely clean and
simple winner!
Melissa's Choice: Beate created a modern CAS design that preserved plenty of white space and I
was drawn to the big, striped, die cut sentiment! What a great way to
add interest!
Tracey's Choice: I was drawn right away to the lovely colours and fabulous design of Jasleen's bow-tiful card!
Gillian's Choice: Deepti's use of texture in her card is so beautiful!
May's Choice: Hyojin's clever take on stripe blew me away. I love the way she created a fun zebra with a birch background stamp. Brilliant idea and great card!
Kimberly's Choice: Sara's lovely gem stripes really caught my eye!
