Week 287: TOGETHER

Together is the nicest place to be and the gallery will soon be filled with entries, all united by CAS design!  Let's see how you interpret this cue!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)
Let's take a look at what the design team and this week's guest designer created for inspiration!

design defined:
A black & white sentiment with a twist and pop of colour creates interest on a CAS design.

design defined:
A little texture and dimension adds interest to your CAS design.

Bharati
design defined:
A design can be interactive and still be CAS!

Deidre
design defined:
Don't be afraid to use large background images and smaller sentiments.

design defined:
Confining your design to one third of the card front is a classic CAS technique.

Janet
design defined:
Embossing is a wonderful way to add texture without reducing white space.

Jen
design defined:
Create a simple background pattern using a repeated sentiment.

Joyce
design defined:
Try black and white with a pop of color for a CAS design.

Karen
 design defined:
Use a tag layer to help anchor your images.

design defined:
Use color in your sentiment rather than the image to add interest.

Melissa
design defined:
Use subtle texture to create interest on a CAS design.

design defined:
Use your sentiment to ground your scene.

Go have fun creating your CAS design and don't forget to link up here on the challenge blog by Monday at 9 A.M. (CST)!

  2. Your comments on your CAS cards by each DT member was very helpful today. CAS is the most difficult thing for me. You have now made it easier. Maybe I'll even join in :-)
