Week 315: GRATITUDE

"Begin each day with a grateful heart."  We're hoping to create a gallery of gratitude this week!  With another change of season and the busy holiday season fast approaching for many, it's a good time to stop and reflect on what we're thankful for!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)
Let's see what the design team & our two guest designers have created for inspiration!

Guest Designer:  Haris
design defined:
Use 1/3 of the card with a limited colour scheme to keep things CAS.

Guest Designer:  Coni
design defined:
Subtle color and shimmer can provide great interest to a design.

Anna

Stacking your image and sentiment helps to keep your design CAS.

Bharati

A bold sentiment works well for a CAS card.

Deidre

Cluster focal points in odd numbers for design aesthetics.

design defined:
White space doesn't have to be white.

Jen

White space doesn't have to be white.

Joyce
design defined:
Constrain your design to 1/3 of the card.

Karen
design defined:
Adding dimension to an element provides interest through shadows.

Marcie
Design defined:
Bold pops of colour draw attention to the sentiment when the rest of your card is CAS.

Melissa
design defined:
A simple pop of color and dimension can be very effective in CAS design.

Rachel
design defined:
Offset your images to preserve white space.

Sue
design defined:
Work in the rule of 3's with a single layer if possible.

Go have fun creating your CAS design and don't forget to link up here on the CASology blog by next Monday, October 8, at 9:00 a.m. (CDT)!
