Week 326: FROZEN

For those of us enjoying/enduring the winter months this time of year, this week's cue should be quite appropriate!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Let's see what the design team and this week's guest designer created for inspiration!

Guest Designer:  Barb G.
design defined:
Off-setting a focal point image is a great way to preserve white space.

design defined:
Windows add attention to focal point and increase white space.

design defined:
Vellum is a nice touch to keep a layer partially visible.

design defined:
Limit your design to 1/3 of the card front.

Janet
design defined:
Rule of 3 works well for CAS cards.

Jen
design defined:
A simple but bold sentiment is sometimes all you need for a CAS card.

Joyce
design defined:
Keep a simple color scheme and just a few images.

design defined:
A bright pop of color brings interest to a simple design.

design defined:
Clean fonts and classic color schemes work well in CAS design.

Rachel
design defined:
One main image keeps your card CAS!

Sue
design defined:
Leaving your image free of color lets the eye see white space.

Go have fun creating your CAS design and don't forget to link up here on the CASology blog by Monday, January 14, at 9:00 a.m. (CST)!
