Week 365: KITE

Trying to find new activities to pass the time while waiting out the current world situation?  Let's go fly a kite in the gallery!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)
Let's see what the design team and our guest designer created for inspiration to get us started!

Guest Designer:  Claire
design defined:
Use a sentiment to ground your image.

design defined:
Limited layers can be used on CAS card design.

design defined:
Use a smaller surface (like a tag) to create a scene to keep it CAS!

design defined:
Layer the sentiment and design elements to preserve white space.

Jen
design defined:
White space doesn't have to be white.

Joyce
design defined:
Keep your stamped elements to the bottom 1/3 of the card.

Karen
design defined:
Grounding your image at the bottom leaves lots of white space.

Melissa
design defined:
An intentional pop of color adds interest to a CAS design.

Nancy
design defined:
An uneven number of pieces is a good element of design.

Sandie

design defined:
Overlap an image & sentiment.

Sue
design defined:
Create one strong focal point.
