Week 39: TRAVEL

With spring beginning to stick around, thoughts start turning toward warmer weather and the extra motivation it provides to take off for some dreamy destination!  This week, we're making TRAVEL plans!  Why don't you join us?!  If you don't feel like taking a trip right now, try allowing your mind to travel "outside the box" on this one!  You'll soon see that the inspiration provided by the design team and our guest designer came from many different trains of thought this week!

Guest Designer: Geri
design defined:
A simple design layout, and a bold pop of color can create interest without compromising CAS.

Melissa
design defined:
Divide your design into eye-pleasing thirds by centering a framed main image panel on the card base.
design defined:
A simple die cut (like this banner) placed at an angle adds interest to a CAS design.

Tracey
design defined:
Shrinking your mat size when using a smaller image will allow it to stand out while still keeping your design CAS.

Ardyth
design defined:
Use a Versamarker and glittery embossing powder for a pretty edge without added layers!

Jen
design defined:
Remember: White space doesn't have to be white!

Judy
design defined:
When layering die cut shapes, consider running the edge of a marker or ink pad
along the edge of the smaller die to make it more distinct.

Maureen
design defined:
Stamping your images within a frame helps build a clear focal point.

Meghan
design defined:
Stamp collages make good clean and simple cards.
Now go have fun and don't forget to link up your TRAVEL creations by Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (CDT)!
