Today, we're excited to announce our Simple Studios Blog Hop!  Members of the CASology design team are showcasing a little peek into their craft spaces!  If you've ever wondered where they craft and how they organize their creative stash, you'll get to take a look on this hop!

Featured Designer: Janet Ribet

Janet is back again today as our Featured Designer and she's sharing a peek into her craft space!

Another week has flown by and I'm back for my third post as CASology Featured Designer.

This week I'm sharing my happy space ... my studio.  I am a very pragmatic person and organise things in a logical way that makes using them convenient and practical. So in the same way that I have my kitchen organised into cooking, baking, tea-making, breakfast stations, I have organised my studio with specific stations. Living on my dot in the ocean without Ikea or all your fancy specialised furniture and storage for craft and stamp supplies, I’ve had to do my own thing. Happiness is using your craft tools to solve the problem - I love my "Silhouette made” ink drawers.

I like to have things within reach as much as possible so I have the supplies I use most within arm's reach. Come over to my blog to see more of my organisation and storage solutions.

Featured Designer: Janet Ribet

Janet is back today as our Featured Designer and is sharing some rainbow inspired goodness!

Today is my second week as the October CASology Featured Designer and I’m sharing my love of rainbows. Besides being so colourful, they are signs of hope and promise.

Mauritius is a land of rainbows as we so often have sunshine and high humidity.  I have taken so many photos of rainbows while driving around Mauritius. This was taken from the west coast at Tamarina looking east.

Today I made a card using one of my older stamps from Hero Arts. You never know how you can use a stamp in a new way.

Here is a closeup of the fun dimension and shine of the glossy accents dots.

It's Friday and Anna is back to share her craft space with us!

Hi there everyone!

I'm back again today to share my not so fancy, but MY OWN, scrappy room, and I love it.

(Even if I honestly dream of a white, clean , airy and just awesome craft room, but yet I have my own room.)

This is a brand new experience for me to have a whole room on my own as I until now have shared my craft space with our bedroom.

I don't have any perfect organization, but it works. Please come on over and see!

Efficiency, mobility and functionality are important aspects of my craft space. Because I move often, and have to “watch my weight” household goods wise, I look for small, lightweight and mobile storage options for my space.

Featured Designer: Shona Chambers Shares Her Craft Space!

Shona is back today with a special treat...a glimpse into her craft space!  We all love these tours and she thought she'd share her creative place with you!

Hi everybody and welcome to my craft space!! Unfortunately, it’s not as gorgeous as Jennifer McGuire's craft room, but its where the magic happens and as we don’t have a spare room, it’s the only area I have for now. I spend A LOT of time in front of the computer working on my blog, commenting and finding inspiration. I follow so many blogs (which unfortunately I don’t have the time to leave many comments at the moment) but love to see what everyone is up too and be inspired by their designs.

My desk is a plank of wood on top of two office drawers, where I keep all my ink pads, papers etc. My husband put up the black shelving not long ago as I had everything on the dining table. And of course I’m surrounded by art work the kids have created for me over the years.

Behind me is the dining table where I make all my cards. I move my stamp boxes etc over to it, so I can create and watch tv or talk to the family in the lounge at the same time. My husband doesn’t like that everything is on the table, so I try to keep it tidy but you can imagine what it looks like somedays…… Luckily we don’t actually eat at the dining table. We have a low, round coffee table that the kids and I sit on the floor and eat around. It’s very ‘Japanese’ inspired but I’ve always loved sitting on the floor and it makes dinner informal and fun. Dave sits at the table as I don’t think he could get off the floor after sitting there for long!!

I would really love a room to myself, as sometimes it’s hard to think of ideas etc when everyone is jumping around or asking me lots of questions but I would probably feel quite guilty if I spent a lot of time in a separate room. This way I can still feel a part of everything.

Hopefully one day we will have a larger house and I can have my own craft room but until then I will use my little corner and at least with Winter coming, I’m not far from our fireplace!! Over on my blog I have a few more photos including the first card that I won a ‘Honourable Mention’ for at CASology. Hope to see you there!!
