Week 59: BOOK

It's all about the books this week with children heading back to school!  Gone are the lazy days of summer reading.  In their place are stacks of books filled with important information that prompts kids to ask, "When am I ever going to use this?!"  Go ahead and admit it.  You asked that very same question at some point in your youth, right?!

Maybe you'd rather not think about books in that sense.  Maybe you'd rather choose a favorite book from childhood.  Maybe your thoughts will take you completely away from the literal meaning!  We are looking forward to seeing how each of you interpret this week's cue word!

First, though, let's see what the design team and this week's guest designer came up with!

Guest Designer:  Lisa
 design defined:
Let your sentiment take center stage by creating a simple frame!

Ardyth
 design defined:
Simple shapes and a limited colour scheme keep things CAS!

Gillian
design defined:
Layering die cuts is a great way to add dimension to a CAS card

Jen
design defined:
When colouring on a one layer card remember to use extra thick cardstock that won't show ink bleed on the inside.

Judy
design defined:
Don't be afraid to use stickers on your CAS card if you don't have the right stamp!

Kimberly
design defined:
Placing your images within one quarter of a card's space is a good
guideline to keep it CAS!

Maureen
design defined:
Patterned paper is best used in small doses on a CAS card.

Meghan
design defined:
Why not break out of the card groove and go with a bookmark?

Melissa
  design defined:
Use classic colors to dress up what feels like a plain design!

Now go have fun and don't forget to link up your BOOK creations by Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (CDT)!
