It's time for a refresher coarse on CAS design here at CASology since every now and then it's good to go back and review the basics! That's why, this week, we've chosen a different kind of cue word than you've had before! Up for the challenge? The design team put forth extra effort this week and you'll find that the cards posted here on the challenge blog are only the beginning of what they have to show you! ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that in card #3 one is advised to keep patterned paper to a minimum, and then in card #9 two thirds of the card is nothing but busy patterned paper, elaborate stitching, and a busy pattern. It can be a little confusing to the reader as to what is considered CAS and what is not.

DeleteI can see why you are concerned! Each "design defined" is for the card above it. Please visit May's blog for explanation. There are many opinions as to what the limits of CAS design are. Although the DT strives to keep all designs within the same guidelines, we definitely don't feel we are CAS experts and may unintentionally vary a CAS design from time to time. :) This blog is simply here for learning from each other! I hope you will enter a CAS card this week too! We'd love to have you join us!
Do you mean you want us to make cards that incorporate contrast or do you want us to create 2 cards, 1 CAS and another not CAS?
