Week 138: BLOSSOM

After a tropical challenge last week, things are starting to blossom!  Spring is going to arrive at CASology a few days before the calendar declares it officially here!

This week, Craft Classes Online is returning as our sponsor!  Our winner will receive a free seat to any of the online workshops found on their website with a regular price of $25 or less!

Craft Classes Online (CCO) brings multiple Creative Arts Instructors together on one site to provide students with the best choice in online craft workshops. Our instructors offer online workshops that are engaging, affordable, and time-saving. Students from across the globe can learn any number of techniques and creative projects from the comfort of their home and on their schedule.

CCO has a brand new blog in 2015, Everyday Moodlings.  Come join us for the theme of the week and be challenged to use all of your craft supplies during the coming year. We  offer ideas, tips, tutorials, and crafty inspiration.

We are excited to be sponsoring CASology. You can view our class list on our website at www.CraftClassesOnline.com. We continuously update our website with new workshops, so check back often.

Become a subscriber to our newsletter and gain access to our FREE class, “Ink Essentials”! Come visit us on our Facebook page, too.

Let's take a look at what the design team and this week's guest designer created for inspiration!

Guest Designer:  Deepti

Masking with bold colors on a single layered card can combine to create a CAS design.

Ardyth

Bright colours and busy patterns work in CAS design - just remember the white space!

Hazel
design defined:
Partly colouring busy patterns can keep things CAS.

Jen
 design defined:
A touch of twine can add dimension & texture to your CAS card.

Joyce
design defined:
A split panel is a great way to add interest to your CAS design.

Judy
design defined:
Pop up your central image for added interest, especially when using soft tones.

Kimberly
design defined:
Using a die to emboss or a texture plate will add texture, and interest without
adding any layers.

Kymona
design defined:
Repeat stamping adds interest to a CAS card.

May
design defined:
Create your own scene by combining images from different stamp sets.

Melissa
 design defined:
Keeping layers and embellishments to a minimum helps keep a design CAS.

A single image strategically placed is all you need in CAS design.
