Week 233: GLISTEN

Ready for a new cue word?  Whether you're enjoying the frosty nature of winter, the shimmer of summer or the result of an intense workout, this week's cue word is sure to inspire!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Poppystamps is returning as our wonderful sponsor and is offering this week's winner a $20 gift certificate to the online store!

Let's take a look at what the design team created for inspiration!

design defined:
Using an image with lots of sections creates room for loads of color confined to one little area and plenty of white space!

Hannelie
design defined:
Making the sentiment the focal point is a great way to keep your design CAS.

Hazel
design defined:
A monochrome colour scheme with a pop of colour works well on a CAS card.

Jacquie
design defined:
White space doesn't have to be white.

Janet

design defined:
Using tags is a great way to reduce the size of a background stamp.
design defined:
Confine a busy design to a corner of your card to conserve white space.

Joyce
design defined:
White on white keeps your design CAS.

Judy
design defined:
Using glitter paper with your small die cuts adds a nice touch!

Melissa
  design defined:
Simple color schemes work very well in CAS design.

Rachel

Use the rule of thirds when adding color to keep your card clean and simple!

Sherrie
