Week 246: SEASON

It's time for a new cue word here at CASology!  Life marches on and seasons come and go.  What does this word bring to mind for you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Uniko Studio is returning as our wonderful sponsor today and is offering this week's winner their choice of an in stock stamp set!

Their next new release is coming up next week on May 6th, so mark your calendars!  Also, the Background Block Halftone set and the Uniko Style set are both back in stock in the online store, so if you've been patiently waiting for them, now's the time to grab them!

Let's take a look at what the designer team and this week's guest designer created for inspiration!

Bright and bold can be CAS if you limit your colour palette.

design defined:
Cluster the sentiment and images in a corner to leave plenty of white space.

design defined:
Using a touch of embossing paste adds detail while keeping it CAS.

A central design is classically CAS.

design defined:
White space does not have to be white.

design defined:
Lots of white space keeps a card CAS.

design defined:
Rounding the top corners keeps your card CAS!

design defined:
Simple color schemes work well for CAS designs.

design defined:
Use patterned paper in small doses to draw the eye to the focal point of your card.

design defined:
Adding a border to patterned paper 'confines' the design and keeps it CAS.

Go have fun creating your CAS design and don't forget to link up here on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CDT)!
