Week 335: EARTH

We're bringing things back to earth this week!  With spring approaching in some areas of the world, this cue should be rather appropriate!  There's always room for lots of interpretation, however, so let's see what this word makes you think of!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Let's take a look at what the design team and this week's guest designer created for inspiration!

Guest Designer:  Helen
design defined:
A card can remain CAS even when the elements are placed outside the main image.

Bharati
design defined:
Let the focal point be in center.

design defined:
Ink blending brings dimension to a one-layer card.

design defined:
Layer an image and sentiment to preserve white space.

design defined:
Die cutting a shape can restrict the size of the original stamp.

Jen
design defined:
Confine a busy scene to a small portion of your card.

design defined:
Cluster all your elements into one corner of your card.

Karen
design defined:
White space doesn't need to be white.

Melissa
design defined:
Creative use of elements adds interest without making a design too busy.

Rachel
design defined:
Sometimes a watercolor wash is all you need.

Sue
design defined:
A limited color scheme and images helps the card stay CAS.

Go have fun creating your CAS design and don't forget to link up here on the CASology blog by Monday, March 18, at 9:00 a.m. (CDT)!
