Week 401: HAT

Hats off to a new month!  March is here and, with it, spring arrives on the calendar!  For those of us who are coming out of the winter season, we can't wait to get rid of our cold weather hats, boots and mittens.  Let's fill the gallery this month with designs inspired by this little word!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note:  It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Let's take a look at what the design team and our guest designer created for inspiration!

Guest Designer:  Tracy
design defined:
Don't be afraid to doodle or draw on your cards.

design defined:
Cluster your image together with the sentiment for a clean look.

Jacquie
design defined:
White sentiments help preserve white space.

design defined:
Use the rule of threes for a focal point.

design defined:
Keep your design confined to one side of the card to leave lots of white space.

design defined:
Monochrome always works well for CAS cards.

Go have fun creating your CAS design and don't forget to link up here on the CASology blog by Monday, April 4, at 9:00 a.m. (CDT)!
